Coaches

RPSL is proud to offer the following coaching courses to any coach in our league who would like to sharpen their coaching skills and increase their knowledge of the game. Contact Andrew Longmire if interested.

F Course –

The "F" Course is a 9 hour course designed for all recreational level coaches. This course covers methods of coaching, players and their game responsibilities, a practice routine, role of the first attacker and role of the first defender. RPSL suggests that every U10 or above coach take this course. U6 and U8 coaches who are planning to continue in coaching are encouraged to take this course as well.

E, E/D and Goal Keeping Courses

If you are coaching for the Rohnert Park Soccer League and are not a paid trainer, RPSL will reimburse you for the cost of any of these three courses. Click here for course times and locations.

Click here for the Coaches F.A.Q. Please read it before you contact your Coordinator.

IMPORTANT: Did you know that when calling “911” from a cell phone your call may be forwarded to the CHP in Vallejo?  Time is of the essence in the event of a real emergency.  RPSL strongly recommends that you store the following numbers in your cell phone so that you will be ready in the event of an emergency!

Team Manual from District V - this is now available in hardcopy on a limited basis only.

Please click here for a Youth Soccer Case Report. This form is to be completed if a player or coach is injured at an RPSL practice or game. The form should be completed by the coach and mailed directly to the CYSA as noted on the form.

Red Cards - Verification of Suspension

If a coach or player receives a red card from your team, print a copy of this form. Take it to your next games and have the referee sign off that the coach or player did not participate in that game (the RPSL President or Coaching Coordinator will contact you with the number of games). Player suspensions are most commonly 1 or 2 games. Coaches generally receive 3 or 4 games (the same number as a player would have plus 2). When the form is completed, you will need to arrange to deliver it to the RPSL President Barry Comerford and then he will return the player pass.
